Guides
Each guide takes one question about the cameras on this map and answers it at the top, before the detail. Every one lists its sources and shows the day its facts were last checked against them.
On the map
Each beam on the map shows the compass bearing a volunteer recorded for one camera. Here is what Flock Safety and other makers say a fixed reader covers from where it stands, and how much a heading can and cannot tell you.

Identification
A camera on a pole or a signal arm does not always read license plates, and one that does is not always a Flock. Here is what marks a plate reader, what gets mistaken for one, and the way to check a pin before you trust it or add your own.

How to
Every pin on this site comes from OpenStreetMap, so reporting a camera means adding it there, and a wrong pin is put right there too. Here is what to note at the roadside, which tags to use, and when the change shows up here.

None of the guides explains how to get around a camera. They are about reading the map well, and knowing how far to trust it.
